The SBTi asks for your company's emissions in the registration process. For the scopes 1 and 2, it only asks for the emissions per regulatory entry that can be found in the Export page of the platform. It asks more details about the scope 3:

Report absolute emissions, broken down by activity.

For each reported activity, provide the following details:

  • The type of activity data used.

  • The corresponding type of emission factors applied.

  • The level of extrapolation applied.

  • Any assumptions or other notes on calculation methods.

Step-by-step guide

Here's a step-by-step tutorial on how to find relevant data:

  1. Account and year check

    • Make sure you're logged into the account that corresponds to the company submitting to the SBTi.

    • Verify that the selected year (in the navigation bar on the left of your screen) is similar to the Base year you chose for the SBTi submission.

  2. Go to My Emissions → Carbon Footprint → Granular Audit View

  3. You now have multiple filters. In the filter “Regulatory Category” only keep the one you need to find details about

"Categories" and "Sub-categories" are defined by Greenly and are groups of activities. Regulatory Categories correspond to official GHG Protocol (or BEGES for France) reglementary entries.

  4. Go to the top of the page to find key data about this category

    • The total emissions of this category

    • The number of different emission factors

    • The Greenly categories and subcategories included in this Regulatory category

  5. Find the

    • monetary/activity data ratio under the “Per Type of Approach (tCO2e)” graph

    • result in tCO2e by moving the cursor on the chart

  6. See detailed calculations at the bottom of the page

If you need more details, the bottom of the page displays 2 additional tables:

  • The calculation view (1 row = 1 activity)

    • Data source

    • Buildings or countries concerned by the activity (if relevant)

    • Quantities

    • Units

    • Conversions (if relevant)

    • Emission factor details and versions

  • The emission factor view: lists and groups all the emission factors used
